Information InkSight processes

When you scan a page or select a photo, InkSight processes the image, recognized text and text geometry, handwriting measurements, report content, and a report thumbnail. Processing uses Apple frameworks on your device.

InkSight only receives an image after you choose it through the camera, document scanner, or photo picker.

Storage and retention

Completed reports are stored in InkSight's private app container on your device. They remain there until the app or its data is removed. Files you export are stored or shared only at destinations you select.

Your device backup settings may allow Apple to include local app data in an encrypted device or iCloud backup. Those backups are controlled by your Apple Account and device settings, not by InkSight.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes payment information. InkSight receives product information, transaction-verification status, entitlement status, introductory-offer eligibility, and subscription expiration information needed to unlock Premium. InkSight does not receive your full payment-card details.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

InkSight does not require an app account and does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. It does not sell personal information. StoreKit communicates with Apple to load products, complete and restore purchases, and verify entitlements.

Sharing

InkSight does not transmit handwriting images or reports to its developer. Information leaves the private app container only when you explicitly export or share a report, when your Apple-managed backup settings include app data, or when StoreKit communicates purchase information with Apple.

Children's privacy

InkSight is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an InkSight account or server.

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised update date. For privacy questions, use the support channel below. Do not attach handwriting samples or other sensitive personal information to a public GitHub issue.
